Chung Seung Moo Sool

Chung Seung Moo Sool is an association of practicioners of various styles and systems in Korean rooted martial disciplines as well as others, who agree on some core ideas in regards to cross training and the expansion of the escope of their own traditions by incorporating elements from all other possible sources.

Chung Seung stands for "Loyalty/Fidelity" in Korean. It represents our commitment to remain loyal to our respective traditions and the masters who bequeathed us their experience. We are loyal to our schools, societies, teachers and spiritual beliefs and because we are well rooted in them, we are not afraid to explore and experience what others can offer.

Moo Sool is the Korean equivalent of "Martial Art" but in fact it is closer translated as "Military/War Discipline". This represents our commitment to a realistic approach to martial arts training. Today, many styles are offered as either traditional or modern, sportive or street wise. Moo Sool stands for our commitment to a realistic approach that does not shy away from full contact sparring and realistic self defence, to sportive excellence and recognition that competition offers one of the best arenas for challenging our own confidence and skills, yet we continue to cherish and develop the non sport elements of combat styles and techniques which would not be allowed in a ring.

Chung Seung Moo Sool is both a developing style of Mixed Martial Arts, which mantains its connection with tradition and the spiritual-moral development of its practicioners, as well as a collection of independent schools that mantain their own syllabus.

Chung Seung Moo Sool afiliates recognise each others arts, benefit from each other and acknowledge each others ranks and gradings.

Also, Chung Seung Moo Sool is an evolving concept, a comprehensive style of combat techniques which aspires to grow as a recognised independent style of Korean based martial system within The World Kido Federation (Afiliation Pending).

Pucará Combined Martial Systems is proud to be the first member of Chung Seung Moo Sool in Europe, as this style continues to grow under its president and chairman, Grand Master Alejandro F. Sánchez.
